Task
Measure and figure out the dimensions of each piece you will need. The dimensions of your piece of veneered timber should be approximately 2400 x 400 x 17 (millimetres). Check the measurements now before you start and record them here.

Take a piece of cardboard and draw a scale diagram of your board on it. (See Figure 1) Make a ‘maquette’ or model of your design.
